Which of your old video links
still pay?
Amazon updated its Associates rules on April 14, 2026. Whatever the rule, a description link that lands on a dead page, bounces to a homepage, or opens an Amazon product without your tag earns $0. Paste a channel and we check the description links in its latest 50 videos while you wait.
Public data only, read through the YouTube Data API. We never scrape Amazon, never store your password, and the report and its data are deleted after 30 days. The report shows counts; the channel's owner can unlock the details with read-only access.
Five ways a description link stops paying
Dead links
404s, domains that no longer resolve and certificate errors. The click goes nowhere. A timeout or a server error is reported separately, not as dead.
Short links that land on a homepage
A retired product often turns an amzn.to or geni.us link into a redirect to the retailer's front page. The click "works"; the commission doesn't.
Broken short links
A bit.ly, geni.us or amzn.to link whose redirect chain ends on a dead page. From the description it looks fine.
Amazon links with no tag
An Amazon product link without a tag= parameter (on the URL or where it redirects) sends the sale to Amazon for free.
Amazon links with an unusual tag
A tag that isn't the one the channel uses everywhere else: a collaborator's, an old account's, or a typo. We only compare a channel with itself.
What we don't guess
Whether an Amazon product is still in stock. That needs Amazon's official API with the owner's own credentials, so the report counts those links as "needs an availability check".
The dollar figure is an estimate: each affected video's monthly views × 1.5% click-through × 5% conversion × a $35 order × 4% commission. Owners can tune every assumption after connecting the channel. Read more in what changed in Amazon's April 14, 2026 update.
